We had an awesome time with friends on our trip! We visited the breathtaking Palo Duro Canyon and checked out the American Quarter Horse Association. The location was great, close to various eateries and attractions, making it easy to explore.

The hotel could use some updates. the rooms felt a bit outdated and the lighting was dim, which didn't help the overall vibe.

The Large King Room with Sofa Bed offered ample space, with a comfy king-sized bed that had potential for a relaxing night. The hotel's fire pit area provided a cozy spot to unwind after a long day, making for an enjoyable evening atmosphere.

However, the sofa bed’s mattress left much to be desired, feeling more like a metal frame than a comfortable sleeping option. Parking comes with a $10 fee, which felt inconvenient considering the nightly cost. On top of that, the coffee shop inside was disappointingly out of stock on most items, leaving me without a simple morning pick-me-up. Lastly, the lack of a continental breakfast was surprising, given the pricing expectations.

Our family enjoyed a lovely stay at this hotel while exploring the breathtaking Palo Duro Canyon nearby. The spacious rooms provided a comfortable space for my two teenage kids and us, allowing us to relax after a fun-filled day at the canyon.

My kids wished for a better experience with the breakfast options. It would be great if the hotel could offer a complimentary breakfast for families, as it can be a real convenience in the mornings.

During my stay, I loved the close proximity to the Amarillo Botanical Gardens, which made for a beautiful stroll, and the easy access to nearby tasty restaurants like Saltgrass Steak House just a short walk away. it really suited my love for weekend city explorations and getting to enjoy local sights while walking.

Checking in was smooth, and the staff were very friendly. The bed in my room was comfortable and made for a relaxing sleep. The location was convenient for traveling around the area. However, the overall cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired. I found dust on the carpet, and the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned. The heating system was also problematic, making it hard to adjust the temperature. The pool was closed, which was a disappointment since I had planned to use it. The parking fee felt unnecessary, especially for an otherwise quiet lot. I expected more from a Marriott property given its reputation. This stay could have been much better with a little more attention to cleanliness and maintenance.
